The runner by the sea

All the things that I have lost I have let go,
Like the millions of grains washed and drained on the shore,
Vast and airy is the flying seascape,
Wild harvest of a forgotten life,
Tremendous is the journey that closes the door to the past,
I have let go of shame and fear,
I have let go of triumph and disaster,
I have let go of loss.
In the visionary solitude of walking into worlds that are vaster,
Through the cold and windy sky,
The sun that is blazing in summer’s storm,
In the dark mantle of unspoken thoughts,
I have to go where there is no one,
I have to go where no one has gone before.
