About the Author:
Molly A. Daniels-Ramanujan was born in Tiruvella, Kerala, in 1932. She spent her childhood between the rainforests of Kerala and the arid desert of Aden, an island in the Red Sea. She was married to the renowned poet, translator and Indologist, A. K. Ramanujan. After he passed away, she moved to Eco Village (Ithaca, New York) and has been living there since.

This is a collection of biographies of individuals who have built and live in Eco Villages. Most of the people are residents of a Village in Ithaca, New York. The book highlights the urgent need for green housing, given the rapid depletion of the soil and natural resources and throws light on the sustainability of Eco Villages as well as the shared ecological and spiritual values its residents abide by.

The Global Eco Village network accounts for 360 Villages, 15 of which are located in the United States; two of these Villages are situated in Ithaca. The people living in these Villages have gathered together to create an intentional community.
